The world is full of techniques for everything. We invent techniques to overcome perceived physical barriers, or to solve the problems created by our thinking minds.
People often seek help to provide them with techniques to overcome the problems they are facing. Most often, they are seeking quick fixes to problems using external, visible techniques.
While the use of techniques in overcoming the problems cannot be denied, what is of supreme importance is the willingness of the person using the techniques to be first open to transform their thinking mind and hence the behavior.
Metanoia (from the Greek μετάνοια) is an ancient Greek word meaning change in one’s way of life as a result of changing one’s thinking mind; to go above and beyond the present level of thoughts.
When we are willing to let go of our pre-conceived ideas and are open to explore multiple worldviews, it results in a pronounced metanoia, leading to overall improvements and significantly enhancing the usefulness of techniques in overcoming our problems.
After all, everything is a mind game.
