You Experience Reality By Living Spontaneously

Spontaneous living is the highest way of living where you respond to the unfolding of events – reality – by experiencing them without the intervention of your thinking mind. Your thinking mind is a vast storehouse of memories based on your perception of how past events made you feel. Your thinking mind is also constantly imagining a non-existing future, which can either excite you or make you anxious. These create filters which act as veils within your mind.

However, life or reality flows all the time. It is dynamic. It is the Tao, which animates everything in this universe including you. You are also flowing along with the reality.

When your thinking mind intervenes in the moment of the unfolding reality, you perceive the situation through your filters, which are based on your past, and also based on the imagined non-existing future. When this happens, you experience your perception of reality and not the actual experience of the flow of reality.

To experience the flow of reality, you must let go of your thinking mind with all its preferences and biases. You begin by being aware of your thoughts and allowing it to flow without being fixated or holding on to some thoughts, just like the birds do not leave a trace in the blue sky when they fly, or like a pond momentarily reflecting the image of a flock of geese flying above without retaining the reflection after the passing of the geese. This is the state of spontaneity, with no past and no future, only here and now.
